The Netherlands plans to produce a trial operation of the LED light on their roads.
As expected, it will save electricity, while improving the level of illumination of the road. LED lights on, first, create a bright light, and secondly, allow precise adjustment of the brightness of light, if there is no need (with a decrease in the flow of transport).
This technology will enable the Netherlands each year to save 180 MW / h of electricity, which is equivalent to the consumption of energy, enough for 50 houses. LED lamps last longer and require less maintenance than conventional incandescent bulbs. A new type of track lighting plan to launch in February 2012.
